On Saturday, October 10, 2020, the Augustine Institute will be having its free 2020 Virtual Bible Conference gathering some of the nation’s most dynamic Scripture scholars. This single day online event will feature speakers like Dr. Brant Pitre, Dr. Tim Grey, Dr. Michael Barber, and Dr. Mark Giszszak. Also featured is our own Dr. Nina Heereman, Assistant Professor of Sacred Scripture and the Department Chair for Sacred Scripture.

Dr. Nina Heereman Dr. Heereman is an outstanding scholar with an STB from the Pontifical Gregorian University, an SSL from the Pontifical Biblical Institute, and the very rare SSD from the École biblique et archéologique française de Jérusalem and the Université de Fribourg. Her doctoral thesis “Behold King Solomon on the Day of His Wedding”: A Symbolic-Diachronic Reading of Song 3:6-11 and 4:12-5:1 has been heralded by scholars as a profound contribution to scholarship on the Song of Songs.

In her talk scheduled for 10:50AM (PT), she will be talking about "Finding Consolation in the Book of Revelation." The Book of Revelation is often ignored by many casual Bible readers due to its complex imagery, non-linear plot lines, and a general feeling of despair and doom. In her talk, Dr. Heereman will unlock the truths in the Book of Revelation and show the wonderful blessings for us promised in this amazing prophetic book. She will step through the various sections of the book and provide a new way to see its meaning as expressed by its author.

This virtual Bible conference is offered free by the Augustine Institute. You can find more details and how to register at the conference page - here

God bless you all.
